Favorite Eyeshadow Palette: Smashbox Cosmetics Palette in Classifeyed

What is my new go to palette? Smashbox Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette in Classifeyed. This palette comes with six eye shadows in: vanilla, light bronze, brown, ivory, light mauve, and deep eggplant. In other words this palette is perfect for one neutral/brown look and one purple look. This is great for everyday look because each color combination is mild enough for the day but definitely not boring at all! This palette can also be used for night by adding more of the darkest color. This palette also has great packaging; it comes in a shiny black hard plastic case and has a very large mirror on the inside.  The best part? This Smashbox palette is only $15! can't beat that! :)

product gone wrong: ooh la lift

so usually when i'm going to buy something i research it first.. or in other words i read a ton of reviews on sephora's website or i watch video reviews on youtube.. and i had done that..but for a different product.. so when i got to sephora i happened to discover Benefit's Ooh La Lift "instant under-eye brightening boost" and i bought it. i knew nothing about the product.. but i figured benefit was a good brand so why not just try it out right? well unfortunately, it has been a disappointment.. first of all, it didn't really do anything to "brighten" up my under eyes.. but worse than that.. it eventually did the opposite! after i started using this product i started to notice that i kept getting dark smudges under my eyes..which was strange for me..because i was using the same eyeliner combination as i had been for a while (and hadn't had a problem with) so why was it all of a sudden smudging under my eyes? so i stopped wearing eyeliner (gel liner with powder over it) on my waterline for a few days but the smudging kept happening! so then i considered all of the possible changes i had made previous to this smudging and realized that the only change made had been this new "eye brightener" so i stopped using it one day but still without eyeliner on the waterline and no problem! then i added the eyeliner back on the waterline and still no problem! so i guess the problem = this product. boo :(

happy hair: Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque

Macadamia Oil Repair Masque
after seeing several rave review videos on youtube about this product i kinda figured i had to try it out.. i have been using it for a couple of months now..

what: deep conditioning hair treatment for damaged hair
how: in shower, once a week (can be used twice a week), 7 minute treatment

pros:

-i love the smell.. both while using it and the way it makes my hair smell afterwards as well
-the tub lasts a long time
-has really improved my hair

cons:
-it's a tad pricey.. but considering that you only use it once a week and don't have to use much.. it lasts for a long time..so the price (i believe $28 ish) isn't too bad
-the wow effect only really lasts about a day after use (this only means that the super soft hair feeling only lasts about a day.. the improving quality continues to last)

overall:
i think it's totally worth it and i will continue to use it and probably buy more in the future and i look forward to trying out other products from this brand..however, i'm not quite sure if it was the AMAZING product that other reviews let me believe.

pass the butter please

so i have a confession to make... up until a few weeks ago i had never used body butter... why? simply because of the name. the idea of using something that sounded like food on my body kinda creeped me out! well let me tell you, never pass something up simply because of its name! because the stuff is truly amaaazzingg. a couple of weeks ago i was in sephora and they had their line of bath products on sale.. so i picked up a bottle of their exfoliating body scrub and was going to buy it to try out.. but then i discovered a kit of not only that but also body wash and body butter.. it was a super good deal and i loved the scent so i thought..why not!? let's try it out. and while the two washes were good..the body butter far out did them.. i mean i will always be a user of lotion..but this stuff is just great.. the texture is awesome.. no runny mess! i definitely look forward to adding body butter to my list of products to pick up :)

nail adventures: missglamorazzi's visions of sugar plums

this week's nail adventure was inspired by youtube's beauty guru MISSGLAMORAZZI... anyways this look is called Visions of Sugar Plums... and it is a purple gradient look covered in a sugary covering.. for this i used about six polishes.. a mix of about sinful colors professional, revlon, and sally hansen...although any polish would work as long as you have several polishes in a range of purple colors and a frosty/shimmery clear color for the top coat.

First Day of Break= Holiday Tag

1. Have you ever gone caroling?
yes! i was in the choir throughout my whole life and during high school we always went caroling to all of the younger school systems in the district. also, last year i went caroling with a group to collect donations for community care. i love christmas music!
2. Do you live where it snows?
i do! but i'm actually not a huge fan of snow.. although i do think it grows on me a little bit every year.. and of course i love winter clothing..boots, jackets, scarfs, sweaters... so i can't hate on the cold weather too much!
3. What holiday do you celebrate?
Christmas! :)
4. What are you doing for the holidays this year?
well all of my life christmas eve was for my dad's side of the family and christmas day was for my mom's.. except i no longer have contact with my dad or his side of the family.. so last year my mom and i (my brothers were with my dad) drove around trying to find somewhere to eat..well it turns out NO WHERE is open on christmas eve.. but we found that ihop was and that's where we ate our holiday meal.. so this year i'm not really sure what i'm going to be doing for christmas eve..probably eating a home cooked meal at home with my mom (we learned our lesson!) and baking cookies all night! yum. and then christmas day i'll wake up and celebrate christmas with my mom and brothers and then head over to my gramma's and celebrate with the rest of my mom's family.
5. What's your favorite holiday drink?
hot chocolate! no explanation needed!
6. Candy cane or ginger bread men?
candy canes! i love them! and i'm not a huge fan of ginger bread anyways.. so candy canes all the way! i've had two so far this season!
7. What's your favorite holiday christmas song?
i love christmas music..so this is an extremely hard question for me..how do i pick just one? although, one song that i always find myself singing or humming is Carol of the Bells. <3
8. What is the weirdest gift you have ever received?
probably the weirdest gift i've ever gotten on christmas was a Guinea pig.. but don't worry..it wasn't wrapped! :) i named her piglet and she was the cutest thing ever..unfortunately she is no longer with us. rip iggy.
9. What is at the top of your gift list?
well i guess the thing i am most excited to receive would be a set of brushes from sigma..and i'm pretty sure that was literally the first thing and therefore the top of my list :P
10. What is most important about the holidays to you?
i'm not a religious person..and i know that the "true" meaning of christmas is about the birth of jesus and all of that.. and that's great for people who do celebrate that.. but for me personally, christmas and the holiday season are more about family and friends and giving to those that you love.

10.queenbeauty

these are not necessarily in any particular reason..and there are many other gurus i watch and love..but these are ten (technically eleven lol) of my favorites..check them out :)

nail adventures: the dark night...

or plum night..which ever you prefer.. but before getting into that i have something to admit... i had naked nails for two days.. tragedy i know!.. lol i'm just kidding..it really isn't that big of a deal but i do hate not having painted nails..but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.. and i guess it's good to give your nails a little break every once and a while.. so right now i am wearing Revlon Nail Enamel in Plum Night.. i chose this color because i have several holiday parties/events this weekend and wanted a color that looked classy and would go with everything.. this color is a very dark purple but may be mistaken for black (wearing two coats) so just in case you fear black nails..stay away from this color.. but it really is purple! i promise i didn't change colors on you :)

a seventh grader's dilemma

a seventh grader's dilemma.. or my seventh grade dilemma to be exact... so there was this boy... he was so cute...HOLDUP.. this is a beauty blog..so my dilemma was much different.. when i was in middle school i had typical middle school skin.. and that meant pimples mixed with extremely dry skin in the winter.. and i know you are thinking that combination skin isn't just the problem of a middle schooler...but the real problem was not knowing how to deal with it. in seventh grade i didn't wear makeup..so i knew nothing about those fancy concealers.. and i didn't understand the importance of a good skincare routine.. so the only thing i could do was get rid of the dry skin! unfortunately that was another thing i wasn't very well informed on.. i probably sound like a total dork..i mean it's lotion right? how do you mess that up!? well i picked a lotion, Suave's moisturizing body lotion in sun-ripened raspberry.. a scent that i loved.. but there was a problem.. a specific word in general...BODY... so this lotion...which was not meant for my face.. just made my skin worse.. it took a while for me to realize (and a few helpful hints from my mother) that what i needed was a moisturizer meant specifically for my face.. i've gone through several of those..and am now currently using Clean and Clear's Morning Glow (OIL FREE) moisturizer. i use this every morning after washing my face.. it definitely makes my face feel more awake and brightens up sleepy skin..it even has spf 15.. so now thankfully, i am able to deal with dry skin without breaking out like crazy!

the importance of protection

heat protection that is...
so for the longest time (all of my life up until this past summer) i did not use any heat protection on my hair.. thought process being that if i didn't straighten my hair that i didn't need it.. but i was not considering the amount of heat that comes with a blow dryer..which is well hot air.. and then for a while there i was curling my hair on a very regular basis... well i started to notice how dry my hair was getting..which was just not okay!! so i purchased some heat protection spray..and it really does make a difference.. i promise! my hair (especially the ends) does not feel as dry after blow drying it and well maybe it's all in my head but i feel like my hair has been stronger too :) i've been using John Frieda Frizz-Ease Heat Defeat Protective Styling Spray  and am now on my second bottle.

nail adventures: mystery nails

so this color may not actually be that mysterious... however, unfortunately everything else about it is.. i pulled this color out of my nail polish collection today to use.. the bottle has no brand name or color name.. or anything on it for that matter. so it's a pretty coppery metalic type color..and that's all i got :P

ELF endless eyes pro mini eyeshadow palette

Pros:
the price! 32 eyeshadows for only $5!
nice packaging..strong, hard plastic with mirror inside!
wide range of shades..neutrals and colors!

cons:
unfortunately there is hardly any pigmentation with these shadows.. it takes quite a lot to get a good color.

also the shadows are very shimmery and some are so shimmery you end up with sparkle fall out all over your face.

overall, however, the cheap price outweighs the negatives.. this would be a great starter palette or something to use for more subtle looks.

everyday essentials basket!!

i was watching a youtube video the other day of someone's makeup collection..and i was thinking that i can't really show my whole collection in a blog.. but i figured i could talk about this little basket that i keep on my vanity that holds the stuff i use on an everyday or almost everyday basis (not including makeup brushes which are in a different location or eyeshadows or lipgloss/lipstick which are different everyday). so here goes:

1. Aquafina Flavor Splash lip balm
2. FX Mint Glaze Moisturizing lip treatment primer
3. Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer
4. NYX jumbo eye pencil in cottage cheese (gross name but i use it for the inner eye corners)
5. NYX sharpener for jumbo and regular sized eye pencils
6. Jaw hair clip (i use it to hold back my bangs while doing my makeup)
7. Rimmel Fix&Perfect foundation primer in 001
8. Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation in 102
9. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001
10. ELF bronzer in warm tan
11. Lorac Tantalizer baked bronzer
12. Maybelline Cover Stick corrector concealor in yellow
13. Sephora Atomic Volume mascara
14. Lorac Publicity Stunt Lashes mascara
15. Maybelline Full n' Soft mascara

25. Ulta Eyeshadow in Galaxy (i use this over the gel liner on my waterline..view waterline blog!)
26. Conair wide tooth comb

Happy Eyes: bhcosmetics 120 Colors Palette 3rd Edition

so over the summer i was feeling kind of experimental and was in search of a palette that offered a lot of different colors.. so somehow (i'm thinking youtube) i came across the bhcosmetics website...and after mulling it over for a while... i decided to go with the newest of the 120 collection the 3rd edition palette. the palette obviously has 120 eyeshadows. there are two layers to the palette, one being filled with darker, more neutral shades..browns, dark greens, dark blues and purples. and the other layer is filled with brighter colors...bright pinks, greens, blues, purples, and even reds.

here's what i love about this palette:
1. great variety!
2. great pigmentation!
3. mix of shimmery and more matte colors!
4. nice packaging/case!

anything wrong with it?
1. well some may say that the shadows are too small.. but with so much variety it would take forever to go through them all

2. also a lot of the colors look very similar in the palette but are actually quite different on.. but as long as you test the color out first you would know that..so it's hardly a problem!
3. also, because it has to be shipped you take the risk that the eyeshadows could be damaged...but i only had a problem with one color..so out of 120 that's not too bad in my opinion! :P

so anyways, i love this palette and am super glad i decided to purchase it!! :)

happy skin: Clean and Clear Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub

i just want to talk about how much i love this  product. it may be weird... but i look forward to washing my face every time i know i'm going to get to use it! so what is it? well if the title didn't tell you..i'm talking about Clean and Clear's Deep Action Exfoliating Scrub.. which i use about two to three times a week. it feels so awesome when being applied and your skin (or i mean my skin lol) feels so tingly and cool afterwards...also it's not harsh on skin like most exfoliators. so yea, this is just a quick little shout out to this product! i recommend it! obviously.  :)

my new foundation routine!!

about a week ago i started using a new foundation.. so i thought i would share my foundation routine with you. i feel i should point out that this is the first time i ever used a liquid foundation (i had always used a powder foundation by covergirl)..but i decided to give the world of liquid foundation a try. i wasn't sure what brand to try..so i decided to go with the rimmel london lasting finish foundation because that is what my mom has been using for a while and she recommended it.

so here goes:

1. first i prime my face with the Rimmel London Fix&Perfect foudation primer in 001.

2. Then i use a maybelline coverstick corrector concealor in yellow on my problem spots.
3. Next i use the actual foundation..mine is 102 warm ivory.
4. After that, i used the Rimmel London Stay Matte pressed powder in 001 transparent.
5. Finally, i use a bronzer by ELF (eyeslipsface) in warm tan.

white pad not included

happy eyes: lorac's behind the scenes eye primer

sorry it's so dark :(
i feel the need to point out from the beginning that i have never tried too faced shadow insurance or urban decay's primer potion..so this blog is NOT a comparison to either of those primers. in fact, this is only the second eye primer i've ever tried. so how did i happen to discover this fantastic primer? well i had been using sephora's tricks of the trade eye primer (which i have not used since and do not recommend) and then i purchased lorac's little black palette ( a neutral baked eyeshadow palette that i love!) which came with a mini version of the behind the scenes primer. i began using it and haven't stopped (well until i had to purchase the full sized version.. i bought two!) it goes on sooo smoothly and helps eyeshadow last all day long.
it seems most people experiment with lots of different eyeshadow primers (and i'm open to that) but quite frankly, i just don't feel the need :)

nail adventures: attack of the sparkles week two

sooo much better in person!
i went to ulta the other day with the hopes of getting china glaze's party hearty nail polish from their christmas collection but unfortunately they did not have it..however while i was there i came across OPI's burlesque collection and one bottle jumped right out at me!! it was sparkle-iscious!! which is a clear polish with purple, blue, and gold glitter. sooo prettty! i am wearing it over Rimmel London's Lasting Finish Pro polish in 420 Midnight Blue!!! i may be addicted to my nails right now..is that weird?

happy skin: Aveda hand and foot relief lotions!!

last christmas i received these two lotions (and their mini counterparts) as a gift from a friend.. these lotions came alongside a very sentimental present from that same friend.. so the awesomeness of this part of the gift was lost on me at first..but i promise you that it didn't last long! from the first time i used these lotions i was hooked!!

and here's why.. you have dry hands.. put this stuff on.. and the name doesn't lie... RELIEF! i love love love the way this stuff makes my hands feel (and dry elbows!) it's just great. and don't forget about the special bottle for the feet!!.. you have sore feet? use the foot relief lotion and not only does your skin feel refreshed but your whole foot feels so much better! it's craziness i tell you! but i'm not complaining. and you better believe that these lotions are on my christmas list again this year because frankly, i can't live without them!! :)

my makeup story

1. How old were you when you started wearing makeup? well technically i've been wearing make up since i was about four for my dance recitals.. but i didn't start wearing it on a regular day to day basis until eighth grade.. so i was about thirteen..

2. How did you get into makeup? well like i said, i've been wearing it since eighth grade... but i didn't actually get a passion for makeup until my senior year of high school.. there got to be a point where i felt like i was in rut with my makeup.. i wanted a new look..or to be more creative.. somehow that led me to youtube makeup videos/tuturials.. and from there i was hooked. since then i've been obsessed with everything make up :)

3. What are some of your favorite brands? i love lorac.. as of right now they are my favorite brand for eyeshadow hands down.. and i also love the bhcosmetics palettes..and i love love smashbox lipglosses.

4. What does makeup mean to you? well for one, makeup helps make me feel prettier.. and i don't mean in a superficial "i can't be pretty without makeup" way.. i mean it makes me feel unique and lets me be creative and it makes me happy..and that is beautiful :)

5. If you could only wear 4 make up products on your face what would they be? foundation, lipgloss (because i'm not going to consider chapstick a makeup product in this case), eyeliner, mascara.

6. What is your favorite thing about makeup? experimenting and having fun with it

7. What do you think about drugstore makeup and high end? i feel like most products can be bought from the drugstore and they'll work perfectly fine.. for example: foundation, mascara, eyeliner, lip products... but when you are talking about eyeshadow... there is a huge difference.. and i definitely recommend investing in some high end shadows

8. What is one tip of advise you can give to a beginner? don't be afraid to have fun and keep experimenting until you find what works for you

9. What is one makeup trend you never understood? there are just certain lip colors that i will never understand...

10. What do you think about the beauty community on YouTube? this might not apply on here.. but i personally love that world.. it's what made me love make up so much.. and there are some wonderful people out there :)

happy nails: my nail routine

i hate naked nails.. who's with me?? i know it may be obnoxious...but i always have to have nail polish on.. it freaks me out if i don't.. i'm weird i know.. so i thought i would share my nail routine.. i paint my nails at least once a week.

first, i use nail polish remover to remove the old color (duhh..)
second, i cut and file my nails into my desired length and shape
third, i use an electric nail system called The Ultimate Manicure System by Trim to push back my cuticles, to buff my nails, and to do any extra shaping or fixing.

fourth, i use a nail care kit by the brand Seacret. It includes a lotion, a three step buffing block, a nail file, and cuticle oil. (I personally use the lotion, then the buffing block, and then the cuticle oil). I was given this kit as a gift..and i am so thankful for it!! my nails have looked and felt so much healthier since i began using it!
fifth, next as a base i use Sephora by OPI's nail strengthener. i've only used it about three times..but i've already noticed a huge difference! my nails seem so much stronger with way less breaking. yay for that!
and lastly of course, NAIL POLISH!! :)

nail adventures: back to the futureeeee

err i mean fall? after last week's bright orange i decided to go with something a little more fall oriented.. which is why i went with Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure in Red Zin (610). and then the plan was to just have one glitter nail on each hand to spice things up a little..but glitter makes me go a little crazy..and well.. i ended up with a full set of sparkly nails.. obnoxious maybe.. but fun none the less :) the gold and silver glittler polish i have on is Nutra Nail's Gleam (not sure if this can still be purchased.. but any glitter polish will do!)

what do you think?

Sniff Sniff: Benefit's So Hooked On Carmella

Ever wonder what i smell like? Well of course not, because no one reads this blog anyways.. but in case anyone out there does....

...here it is... Benefit's So Hooked On Carmella.. so take a big sniff of the computer screen and you'll know what i smell like... just kidding!  According to the Sephora website it is described as a "floral vanilla that's exquisitely feminine" with hints of lemon, grapefruit, rhubarb, cyclamen, peony, tiare flower, vanilla, sandlewood, and amber... hard to imagine i know.... but it smells sooo good :) not to mention that the packaging is absolutely adorable!! the box is so cute that i couldn't get rid of it!! so now it sits on my one shelf as decoration.  The outside of the box looks like a gorgeous house and when you open the top one of the sides comes down and the inside is an even prettier room. how cute is that?? (all of the different benefit scents have different themes on their boxes)

"when it comes to carmella don't ask and don't tell. a light touch has admirers under her spell. her sweet sensuality no one would guess. so exquisite, enticing... an intimate caress"

Would you rather!?!

Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up, or nice hair and no make-up? Definitely messy hair and nice makeup… because with nice make up you can look pretty..and sometimes messy hair can be pulled off in a cute way…where as nice hair without makeup (unless you can pull of not wearing makeup) it’s almost as if you wasted your time doing your hair and then you still don’t look pretty :P so nice makeup all the way. And I just enjoy doing makeup more than hair.

Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out? Well.. if you shaved your eyebrows..you could just draw them on until they grew back.. if your eyelashes fell off you could wear fake eyelashes… except I’m not a big of fan of fake eyelashes..and I think it would be really hard to apply them without real eyelashes already there.. but at the same time I don’t like the way drawn on eyebrows look..but I think that would be more temporary..so I’m gonna go with that!

Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life? Sephora.. I’ve never shopped at mac anyways.. and plus sephora is more of a variety. Although, like I’ve said before I prefer ulta..so as long as that was still an option..i’d be fine

Would you rather wear the lipgloss/lipliner combo or bright blue eyeshadow? I wore blue eyeshadow yesterday!! Except it wasn’t that bright because I toned it down with brown in the crease/outercorner… however I do think bright blue looks can be fun on the right occasion..whereas lined lips with clear gloss over them would just never be okay

Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush? I’m going to go with overdone blush.. because a foundation line just looks really cheesy, fake, and kinda gross… but overdone blush could just make you look really blushed (duhh haha) and can also look better (or worse) in certain lights

Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered? Weird tan lines..at least they are natural.. orange is just orange.

Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color? Well I’m gonna say bad hair color! However, I don’t dye my hair…so I guess I can’t really go with that can i? but I think with a bad dye you can at least try again..but you have to wait for a bad cut to grow out. Although, a bad cut is still at least your natural hair and a bad dye is not.. and that matters to me

Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara? OH GOSH! I guess make up brushes.. but that would be a sad day haha. But at least there are other options. Mascara is a must.

Would you rather walk around all day with your skirt tucked into your underwear or realize you are wearing a see through dress? See through dress.. at least with a see through dress you have some coverage and just can kinda see what is underneath.. (and you could still look cute in that dress) but with the skirt tucked in the underwear your butt is revealed and you look like a fool.

Would you rather go to a party and not realize until the end of the night that you have lipstick on your teeth or that your false eyelashes are coming undone? Lipstick on teeth.. because your lip color should make obvious that you have lipstick on.. but you’d like to think that people will believe your eyelashes are real.. but having an eyelash come undone will make it so obvious that they are fake. And if you realize during the night you can just wipe off the lipstick but are kinda stuck with the eyelash situation

Would you rather forget to put mascara on one eye or forget to put blush on one side of your face? On a day to day basis (when I go to school) I skip blush.. so that wouldn’t be a problem..and I would look like a fool without one set of eyelashes done.. especially because mascara makes such a difference

Would you rather wear foundation two shades too light or go overboard on the bronzer? Bronzer. I’d rather look a little orange than sickly :P

Would you rather be able to date any celebrity you wanted or wake up every day with perfect red carpet worthy hair? RedCarpet worthy hair! To never have to worry about having a bad hair day again...Amazing! And plus, I feel like most celebrity guys would prob not be that great in real life.

Would you rather give up your make up or cell phone for one year? SO HARD! But I’m gonna have to go with giving up my phone. First of, without a phone there is still facebook. Second of all, I love makeup… and would be much unhappier without it. And plus, that would be like a whole year of ugliness lol.

kiss me*

to me, the finishing touch to any good make up look is the lips.  you could have beautiful eyeshadow on..but put it on the same face as dry, boring lips.. and the whole look is off. so today, i decided to share with you some of my favorite lip glosses.. or my most used lip glosses of the moment.

1. FX Mint Glaze moisturizing lip treatment primer in clear: i use this everyday before putting on my lip gloss..it makes my lips feel amaaaazzzing and helps my gloss stay on longer than it would normally. and quite frankly, it could even be worn alone just to give the lips a healthy moisturized look without any color or shimmer. (purchased from sephora)

2. Yes to Carrots C Me Shine lip gloss in playful nude: this is a nude lipgloss that provides shine, has a good feeling on the lip, and is also 95% organic!!  (purchased from target)

3. Tutti Dolci lip gloss in Creme Brulee: i love the smell and it is a very unique, shimmery color than feels very smooth on the lips. (mine was a gift but i believe they come from bath and body works)

4. Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Sex Pot: at first glance this appears to be a purple gloss but it is actually pretty sheer. it goes on soooo smoothly and feels great on. it's a nice everyday gloss to keep with you and reapply throughout the day! i always keep this in my school bag to quickly reapply in between classes without having to pull out a mirror (purchased at sephora)

5.tarte vitamin infused lip gloss in 40 winks: this is a shimmery sheer color that gives you shine without an obnoxious color (good with more dramatic or smokey eye looks) i also love the smell (purchased at sephora)

6. Sephora (tube) lip gloss in Rusted Rose, Rosy Glow, and Bronzed Beauty: these lip glosses add a bit of color but not too much. they are also very easy to grab on the go and apply quickly. these three colors look very different in the tube but look pretty similar once applied. (obviously from sephora lol)

7. Smashbox lip enhancing gloss in Radiant and Tease: Radiant is a shimmery sheer berry color while Tease is also berry color but it gives more of a lasting color.  These colors look pretty on and in the bottles (which are very cute by the way!!) (purchased at sephora)

8.Kat Von D Painted Love lip gloss in Lolita: Not only is the bottle beautiful (covered in flower detailing) but the gloss is beautiful as well.. this color is described as a dusty rose... or i would say an off red color. it's beautiful and looks beautiful on! love it.

are your eyelashes real!?!!?

i was sitting around talking to a bunch of people the other day at a birthday party when someone randomly turned to me and goes "are your eyelashes real?" i was a little surprised by this question.. i've never thought of myself to have that amazing of eyelashes.. but the general consensus was that my eyelashes could indeed be fake.. now i don't mean to brag about my eyelashes here.. but i figured i could share with you the products i use.

every time i do my eyelashes i use three mascaras.. except depending on the occasion the mascaras change slightly.

for everyday:
1. one coat of Sephora Atomic Volume mascara

2. Maybelline Full 'N Soft mascara on my bottom lashes
3. Lorac Publicity Stunt Lashes mascara over sephora mascara

for nighttime/special occasions:
1. same
2. same
3. Revlon Double Twist mascara

i recommend any of these mascaras.. sephora one is great for lengthening and revlon is great for thickness... and the other two are overall good basic mascaras

hope this helps :)

this or that!?!?!

MAKEUP:

blush or bronzer: bronzer! i wear bronzer everyday.. and when i'm going to school.. i skip blush..just because i feel like by the end of a full day of school.. the blush doesn't hold and looks like crap.. but i do wear blush when going out somewhere :)

lip gloss or lipstick: lipgloss definitely! color and shine! and frankly, i can't wear lipstick without gloss over top of it.. but gloss can be worn by itself..so much easier!

eye liner or mascara: i'm going to have to go with mascara.. because without eyeliner you could just use a dark eyeshadow instead..and you really need mascara to pull of any good eye look!

foundation or concealer: foundation! i honestly don't understand how someone can just do concealer and not use foundation.. but that's just me.. foundation all the way.

neutral or color eye shadow: on a daily basis, neutrals.. but colors are so much more fun to play around with

pressed or loose eye shadows: pressed please

OPI or china glaze: OPI, i've never had a china glaze nail polish..and i love my sephora by opi's!

Long or short: normal? haha.. so i guess short

long or short: long

light or dark: dark

side sweep bangs or full bangs: i love both.. but side sweep bangs are more realistic for everyday.. way too much upkeep with full bangs
